Abstract

ÃÖ±Ù »õ·Î °³¹ßµÈ DIFOTI(Digital Imaging Fiber-Optic Transillumination) ½Ã½ºÅÛÀÇ Ãʱ⠹ý¶ûÁú ¿ì½ÄÁõ Áø´Ü ´É·ÂÀ» Æò°¡ÇÏ°í ÀÓ»ó Àû¿ëÀÇ °¡´É¼ºÀ» ŸÁøÇØ º¸°íÀÚ º» ¿¬±¸¸¦ ½ÃÇàÇÏ¿´´Ù.

ÀÓ»ó ¿¬±¸´Â À¯Ä¡ Å»¶ô ½Ã±â¿¡ ±ÙÁ¢ÇÑ Çзɱ⠾Ƶ¿ 23¸íÀ» ´ë»óÀ¸·Î DIFOTI À̹ÌÁö ÃÔ¿µÀ» ½ÃÇàÇÏ°í ÀÚ¿¬ Å»¶ôµÈ À¯Ä¡ 20°³¸¦ ¼ö°ÅÇÏ¿© CLSM ÃÔ¿µ °á°ú¸¦ ¹ÙÅÁÀ¸·Î ¹Î°¨µµ(sensitivity)¿Í ƯÀ̵µ(specificity)¸¦ »êÃâÇÏ¿´À¸¸ç, ½ÇÇè½Ç ¿¬±¸¿¡¼­´Â ¼ö°ÅµÈ 40°³ÀÇ À¯Ä¡¸¦ ´ë»óÀ¸·Î Carbopol Àΰø ¿ì½Ä ¿ë¾×À¸·Î 1,2,4 ±×¸®°í 8ÀÏ°£ Żȸ½ÃŲ ÈÄ °¢°¢ ¹æ»ç¼± »çÁø, DI-FOTI À̹ÌÁö ±×¸®°í CLSM¿Í ºñ±³ ºÐ¼®ÇÏ¿© ´ÙÀ½°ú °°Àº °á·ÐÀ» ¾ò¾ú´Ù.

1. ±¸³»¿¡¼­ ÃÔ¿µÇÑ DIFOTI À̹ÌÁöÀÇ ¹Î°¨µµ´Â 0.61À̾ú°í, ƯÀ̵µ´Â 0.63À̾ú´Ù.

2. ½ÇÇè½Ç¿¡¼­ Àΰø Żȸ½ÃŲ À¯Ä¡ÀÇ Çù¼³¸é Ãʱ⠿ì½ÄÁõ¿¡ ´ëÇÑ DIFOTI À̹ÌÁöÀÇ ¹Î°¨µµ´Â 0.71 ¿´°í, ƯÀ̵µ´Â 0.75¿´´Ù.

The purpose of this study were to evaluate the efficacy of the newly developed Digital Imaging Fiber-Optic Trans-Illumination(DIFOTI) system in detecting carious lesions in in vivo as gold standard with confocal laser scanning microscopy and compared the efficacy of traditional radiography and DIFOTI system in in vitro as gold standard with confocal laser scanning microscopy, too.

For the in vivo study, the subject pool consisted of 23 grammar school age patients just prior to entering the mixed dentition phase. Each patient was given a DIFOTI examination of the anterior and posterior teeth. During 6~8 months. the naturally expire primary teeth were collected and the efficacy of DIFOTI system was compared with confocal laser scanning microscopy.

For in vitro study, 40 primary teeth were collected and decalcified by Carbopol decalcification solution for 1,2,4 and 8 days. Every experiment period. all teeth were DIFOTI examined and sectioned to take an image of confocal laser scanning microscopy.

Sensitivity and specificity were calculated from the result of DIFOTI examine and confocal laser scanning microscopy analysis.

The results and as follows:

1. From the in vivo study, the sensitivity of DIFOTI examine was 0.61 and specificity was 0.63.

2. From the in vitro study, the sensitivity of DIFOTI examine was 0.71 and specificity was 0.75.
